Created thousands of years ago by our herbal ancestors, liquid extracts are still a favorite medicinal preparation today.

Our tinctures are made with love and in small batches. We use blend of Certified Organic Grain Alcohol and only use fresh and organically grown or wild-crafted herbs cultivated without the use of pesticides. Our tinctures are "extra strength" not like the watered down and dull products found on the commercial market today. While sampling a good portion our competitor’s products we found that the majority of them use more distilled water than alcohol, and the herbs they use are probably not picked fresh during harvest - which ultimately means there's less of the good stuff. We think you'll notice a difference with our tinctures.

You may ask why we do not use glycerin in our tinctures. Its rather simple, although some say that it is safe to use, people have reported they experienced an allergic reaction if applied directly to your skin. When ingested, vegetable glycerin may cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and excessive thirst in some people. Since glycerin is a form of sugar alcohol that your body cannot fully absorb, consuming too much — either alone or through foods — may also lead to gas and diarrhea.

Since these remedies are strong-tasting, the best way to take them is in a small amount of water and drink them down. Though not essential, you'll get the most out of the tincture if taken on an empty stomach.

If you are opposed to any use of alcohol, add the tincture to a cup of hot water and let sit for about 5 minutes. The alcohol will evaporate within that time leaving the herbal extract for you to drink.

If you have gastric upset, it's best to not consume alcohol, even in small quantities. In a case such as this, it would be better to administer an alcohol based tincture in a hot cup of water and allow the alcohol to evaporate before consumption.

Our Tinctures come in both 2 and 4 ounce amber glass bottles with dropper. Larger sizes are available upon request.
