What causes nausea and vomiting in pregnancy?
Your nausea is caused by high levels of pregnancy hormones flooding your body. It's very common. About eight out of 10 pregnant women experience nausea or vomiting.
Now that you're pregnant, your body is producing the hormone human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) in large quantities. This hormone makes sure that your baby gets what he needs from your body in the early weeks. Once the placenta takes over nourishing your baby, hCG levels drop and your nausea should ease.
Other hormones can also contribute to nausea and sickness in pregnancy, including stress hormones, such as cortisol. Being deficient in certain nutrients including vitamin B6 and magnesium, can also lead to more severe sickness in pregnancy.
Although it's miserable being sick, as long as you are drinking plenty and not losing weight, your health and your baby's wellbeing shouldn't be affected.
Hopefully, your morning sickness will subside between about 14 weeks and 16 weeks. For some women, though, it can continue for a little longer. For a few unfortunate women, it lasts throughout pregnancy.
If you have very severe sickness, and struggle to keep down even water, see your doctor as soon as you can. You may have a serious form of pregnancy sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). HG can leave you dehydrated and under-nourished, and you may need treatment in hospital.

My first-time pregnant wife was throwing up all day long so I started to look for a natural relief and came across this herbal tea and thought that it couldn't hurt, even if she doubted the efficacy of its claims. WE bought it, she tried it and within a day she was not throwing her insides out. She offered me a sip of the tea, and I must say that I liked the combination of mint, fruit, lemon, and spicy flavors. I bought some more tea, and together my wife and I would each enjoy a cup in the evening while sitting out on our back porch and watching the sun set. We are now happy go lucky pregnant tea drinking fools.

I'm almost to the end of my first trimester and I've already gone through 2 orders of this tea. I've had horrible morning sickness with my pregnancy and I've found this tea, first thing in the morning, has been EXTREMELY helpful.
I was throwing up constantly for the first couple weeks of my pregnancy, but after 2 days of drinking this tea, I stopped throwing up. I've still been extremely queasy, which this tea eases a lot, but I haven't actually thrown up since I started on a routine with this tea.
I think it's a must-have for every pregnant woman. First thing in the morning, make yourself a cup of this tea. Sit down, drink it slowly with some toast, a muffin, or a few crackers. It really starts off your day on the right foot and get's your morning sickness in check!
