Lithium interacts with Stone root. Stone root might have an effect like a water pill or "diuretic." Taking stone root might decrease how well the body gets rid of lithium. This could increase how much lithium is in the body and result in serious side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before using this product if you are taking lithium. Your lithium dose might need to be changed. Water pills (Diuretic drugs) interacts with Stone Root seems to work like "water pills." Stone root and "water pills" might cause the body to get rid of potassium along with water. Taking stone root along with "water pills" might decrease potassium in the body too much. Some "water pills" that can deplete potassium include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, Hydrodiuril, Microzide), and others.

Suggestions - ORAL Normal dosage of stone root, taken as tea or as dried root, is between1 to 4 grams every day. Preparation of tea is by mixing 1-4 grams rhizome or root part in 150 mL of boiling water for 5-10 minutes and then straining. As water extract (with ratio 1:1 in 25% alcohol) 1-4 mL is used thrice every day. Tincture form of stone root (with ratio 1:5 in 40% concentrated alcohol) should be ingested 2-8 mL thrice every day and Collinsonia tincture should be taken in a dose of 2-8 mL.
